RN Diabetes

RN Diabetes is a formula providing a nutritionally complete balance of proteins, fats, carbohydrates, minerals and vitamins, specially designed for patients suffering from type 1 or type 2 Diabetes.

RN Diabetes is meal replacer or a nutritional supplement designed to help people in Diabetes care. For that reason, the energetic intake due to RN Diabetes consumption has been carefully selected.

Proteins in RN Diabetes contribute for 15% to the total energy intake (in accordance with recent recommendations from U.S. and E.U. experts). Each serving of RN Diabetes (250ml) provides 9.3 g of protein which represents 16.7% of U.S. RDA.

Protein in RN Diabetes are made of a selected mix of caseins (providing all essential amino acids) and soy proteins (which are generally considered as having a positive effect on blood cholesterol – especially LDL cholesterol, reducing the risks of CVD and nephropathy).

Fat in RN Diabetes results from a selected blend of vegetable oils based on several basic criteria:

  • Reduced intake of cholesterol
  • Reduced intake of saturated fatty acids
  • The fat intake should not exceed 35% of the total energy
  • A sufficient fat content combined with a careful choice of lipids sources should result in an adequate intake in essential fatty acids
  • Fat slow down the transit in the stomach and consequently facilitate the management of the glycemia.

These considerations should be applied to patients suffering from type 1 or type 2 diabetes with a special attention to the body weight and blood cholesterol management for the patients with type 2 diabetes.

Fat in RN Diabetes contributes for 30% to the total energy intake (in accordance with recent recommendations).

Carbohydrates in RN Diabetes contribute for 60% to the total energy intake (in accordance with recent recommendations).

Thanks to its selected carbohydrates profile and also with the additional effects of proteins and fats present when reconstituted, the RN Diabetes formula is characterised by a low glycemic index when compared with a common food (such as white bread) with an equivalent global intake of carbohydrates.

RN Diabetes contains all the minerals, vitamins and micronutrients suited to complement the nutritional intakes provided by the daily meals.

RN Diabetes is not intended for parenteral use.

Maltodextrin, vegetable oils (palm oil, sunflower oil, rapeseed oil, sodium caseinate, dietary. Dietary fibers, soy proteins isolate, corn starch, minerals, vanilla flavor, choline bitartrate, vitamins, soy lecithin, taurine, inositol, L-carnitine and sweetener (E950).

For one serving: take 58 g of RN Diabetes and add warm water to make 250 ml liquid diet.

When used as nutritional supplement, the dosage should be determined by the patient’s requirement according to physician’s or dieticians.


  • Always keep the tin well closed and store in a cool and dry place (but not in a refrigerator).
  • Use the content within 4 weeks after opening.
  • Use by the date shown on the bottom of the tin.
